The KALEIDOS Ideas Generation Programme is the result of a collaborative effort between UAB, PRUAB, UL, KAU, and WeDo. It was designed to create an innovative process based on the existing best practices in knowledge valorisation at these institutions, with the aim of empowering researchers to address regional societal challenges.
The KALEIDOS Ideas Generation programme consists of the following core components:
- Participative and Creative Process: Two interactive sessions, each lasting three hours, designed to help researchers identify impactful and feasible solutions to the identified regional challenges.
- Mentoring: Each regional team was paired with one or more mentors, who provided ongoing guidance and feedback throughout the development of their ideas.
- Final Presentation: Teams had the opportunity to present their ideas, sharing their proposed solutions with peers, mentors, and stakeholders.
Additionally, a set a series of nine training sessions focused on developing key transversal skills—such as innovation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and impact assessment—necessary to transform research outcomes into actionable, real-world solutions are available for the researchers in the Capacity Building for Researchers section of the toolkit
